Verify the Connection¶

Establish a new SSH connection to confirm that the RSA host key is now in use.

$ ssh -vvv system@hostname

Verify that the host key algorithm is now ssh-rsa.

The debug output should include:

debug2: host key algorithms: ssh-rsa

debug1: kex: host key algorithm: ssh-rsa

A successful negotiation confirms that the TCPIP 5.7 server is using the RSA host key.
