Booting VSI OpenVMS on VMware ESXi

Different booting options are available depending on your version of VSI OpenVMS.

At the BOOTMGR> prompt, execute BOOT device-name, where device-name is the name of the virtual CD/DVD device to which your VSI OpenVMS installation ISO is assigned.

  • Starting with VSI OpenVMS E9.2-4, you can boot OpenVMS with Secure Boot enabled. However, you must either boot the system once with Secure Boot disabled or follow the procedure for importing the required certificate manually.
